Ava Camargo
Ava began dancing at the age of three and has spent the past 18 years developing her passion for dance as both a performer and educator. She began competing with her studio at age 11 and continued through high school graduation, training extensively in ballet, contemporary, and jazz.
Her performance experience includes starring as the Rose Queen and Sugar Plum Fairy in The Nutcracker, as well as performing in numerous local productions. She was also a founding member, choreographer, and performer of her high school's first-ever dance team.
A classically trained ballerina, Ava is certified through the Advanced 2 level of the Royal Academy of Dance (RAD), a prestigious pre-professional classical ballet training program. She has placed at renowned ballet competitions including Youth America Grand Prix (YAGP) and has trained at Houston Ballet in Texas for two consecutive summers.
Her love for choreography and contemporary dance continued into college, where she was admitted to UCLA as a Dance major and has since then transferred into a psychology baccalaureate to pursue new career opportunities. At UCLA, she is a member, choreographer, and director of Icarus Contemporary, a prominent student dance company that performs throughout campus at events including basketball halftime shows, orientation programs, and campus-wide showcases. She will graduate with a BA in psychology in Spring 2027, and plans to pursue her Doctorate of Physical Therapy in upcoming years!
